You MUST install this KBdoc hotfix to prevent our scripts (in both TRY and PRO versions) from making InDesign “become unresponsive” when you access advanced settings or any nested UI panel.

Note. — Reported on April 5, this InDesign ScriptUI issue has been discussed (in depth) in the uservoice forum: “SUI: Opening Dialog while dialog is open breaks InDesign”. The bug only impacts InDesign 14.0.2 (not 14.0.1) in macOS environments. Windows users are not concerned.

How to Fix This: Detailed Steps

First, make sure you have InDesign 14.0.2 installed on your system by going into Help / About InDesign. Then perform the following steps:

1. Go to helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/Script-UI-dialog-issue.html.

2. Scroll down to the section “Resolution for InDesign | macOS”, then download the file CopyPlugin.zip as instructed.

3. Unzip the downloaded file and extract its content to your desktop.

4. In the extracted folder, double-click CopyPlugin.app.

5. Select the “Adobe InDesign 2019” application and click Choose.

Note. — If you get an error while copying the file, make sure you've properly unzipped the downloaded file before running the utility.

6. Once InDesign is successfully updated, restart your system.

7. Install the script(s) as detailed in our help page.

Congratulations! You can enjoy again IndexMatic, IndyFont, Wordalizer, HurryCover, and all the others.
